The arrogance here is truly astounding and exceeded only by the brazeness. This is after all the most unpopular congress EVER. Give the Obama a freaking chance.
This is NOT the time for pettiness and political posturing. The country is watching and the democratic congress better be careful or their gains will be very short lived. If we’ve learned anything about the American people in the past eight years, it’s that they are fickle to the extreme. Pelosi and Reid are playing a dangerous game here that poses graves risks to the Democratic majority, Obama’s presidency, and the health and well being of the country.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had a mortgage, so much of the “newness” and “excitement” has worn off. But it’s been replaced with a very peaceful feeling. You often hear the words “debt freedom” talked about, but can’t really grasp what they mean unless you are free from debt. I can honestly say that there is a great financial peace in knowing you don’t owe anyone anything.
