Nothing is more alarming to the stage managers of phoney democracies than the sight of real ones sweeping entire political classes from the stage in a day of bloodless voting.

It struck me just how powerful the peaceful transfer of power can be to the non-free world. This should be explored by the media beyond one paragraph in a UK opinion piece.
